Rotaract Oakville’s Prom Soccer Fundraiser

A huge THANK YOU to all those who supported Rotaract Oakville in our Prom Soccer Fundraiser to raise funds for Oakville’s Wellspring Birmingham Gilgan House. Despite the downpour, players still enthusiastically came out to play and made the event a success! 100% of the proceeds raised will go towards Oakville’s Wellspring and so far we’ve raised $2,020!! We are still collecting donations until the end of September, so please feel free to join us in raising money for cancer support via www.wellspring.ca/rotaractsoccer (tax receipts available for donations over $20)

First Rotaract Social of the July 2016 Year

Today we had our first social/meeting with our new presidents Tauqeer and Leeanna. We had a great turnout with Rotarians, Klaus and George from Rotary Oakville and Joseph from Rotaract Burlington. It was a fun lunch filled with funny icebreakers, good food and interesting conversation.

Oakville Relay for Life

The event brought the community together for a night of fun, celebration and remembrance. Everyone has been affected by cancer and the Rotaractors were there to help support and make a difference. As a Rotaract team, we raised $960! Funds raised will support research grants and the work of the Canadian Cancer Society whose mission is to eliminate cancer and enhance the quality of life of those living with the disease.
